9780756671266HStar Wars Feel the Force!  Level 3 Reading Alone
From DK Canada

About the book

Feel the Force looks at the mysterious Force from the Star Wars universe, exploring both its light side and its dark side, and its potential for good and evil.

My Thoughts

This is a very instructive book which will teach you about the Force in the Star Wars universe.  While reading this book, you child will learn more about the two sides of the Force as well as everything attached on the role of a Jedi.   You will learn how the young ones train, how a lightsaber works, and much more.  I learned quite a bit about the Force while going through this book with my son.   For example, I didn’t know that meditation would charge the crystals with the Force so they can power the blade.  I knew that lightsabers differ from one another so it was nice to learn something new.

Throughout the book, you can see some pictures taken from the movies.  I sense that each picture were selected carefully to match the text.   At the end of the book, you will also find a glossary which will define some of the words found in the text.    Level 3 books introduce more complex sentence structure, information boxes and alphabetical glossary as well as a comprehensive index.

My son was able to read this book even if there were some words he had more trouble in pronouncing. He has come a long way to be able to read level 3 books and I am proud of him.  Introducing more complex words is good at this point in time.   I can see he is struggling at times but he perseveres as well.  Having a book which I know he will enjoy helps a lot.   This is one of the most advance books he has read so far.   And he is doing a great job at it!

Star Wars Feel the Force! is available at your favorite bookstore, even amazon.ca.
