About the product

Always more than a simple screen recorder, Camtasia Studio will help you imagegenerate sophisticated, effective screencasts—faster, easier, and with more consistency.

What can you do with Camtasia? You can train other to use a specific application, teach, and even sell.

Our Thoughts

This program is amazing in itself.  It will allow you to guide a user through a website or a program you have built and explain them how to use it.

I can see enormous possibilities with Camtasia.   You can show a user how to use the program built (which we might use in the future for our IT business.).  You can teach or sell something.

I like the teach feature.   If I had more time, I would love to create videos to teach my kids some things about how to use the internet/facebook and so on.    Maybe in 2011, I will be able to create an introduction in using facebook with a Christian perspective.   Who knows.

In the meantime, we found that there isn’t anything else out there that is equivalent to Camtasia.   For the purpose of this review, we have created a variety of user videos for a website we launched earlier this year – LobsterNetwork.com.   These videos guide the user on how to use the system and make their DVDs/books and more available to friends and family members to borrow.

Here’s a basic video that has been done.

You can also make more complex videos with Camtasia.  Here’s a more complex video made for LobsterNetwork.com.

We are quite pleased with the quality and easy use of Camtasia.   We strongly recommend it for anyone who wants to create how-to videos on your computer.   You won’t be disappointed.
